Exploring the Maverick Basin Aquifer | Texas Groundwater Insights
We’ve all seen the effects of groundwater depletion, but there’s some good news going on in deep West Texas. The state Railroad Commission identified a new aquifer that is between 5,000 – 8,000 ft. below the surface. It’s called the Maverick Basin Aquifer and local groundwater experts believe it has a lot of potential.
Independently, our company Well Water Finders used our patented groundwater location technology to survey two areas over the Maverick Basin Aquifer near Crystal City, TX. We could see the aquifer between 6,400 - 7,500 ft at this location. This is great news as our technology can help states across the country locate very deep aquifers for potential new water sources and also for enhanced aquifer recharge.
It’s very possible that there are additional significant aquifers across our country that haven’t been discovered yet and that’s why our patented system can be a powerful tool to help the groundwater industry locate additional water for our citizens.
