Innovation in Action: Partnering with UT Austin’s Convergent Team on Groundwater Technology

UT Austin Convergent engineering team collaborates with Well Water Finders on groundwater detection technology

Andrew and Teisha Vandekop at the UT Austin Convergent program, presenting and celebrating with the student team on their groundwater technology collaboration.

Innovation Through Collaboration

What an incredible experience collaborating with UT Austin’s Convergent program this semester! Well Water Finders had the privilege of working with a dedicated 15-member team of engineering students who brought fresh energy, creativity, and technical expertise to our groundwater detection technology.

Student Contributions to Groundwater Innovation

Over the semester, the Convergent team helped us advance our mission by:

  • ✅ Providing design suggestions to enhance ease of use for consumers

  • ✅ Automating our analysis software to streamline operations

  • ✅ Conducting research to guide future iterations of our system

Sharing Our Journey

Earlier this month, Andrew and I were honored to join a panel discussion on entrepreneurship, where we shared Well Water Finders’ story and the challenges of bringing deep tech to market. Following the panel, the students showcased their impressive work, highlighting the innovations they developed and their vision for taking our technology to the next level.

Encouraging Future Founders

If you’re a Texas-based tech founder interested in collaborating with the next generation of product-building entrepreneurs, I highly recommend UT Austin’s Convergent program. Learn more about Convergent here »
